Zero-to-five programs yield positive outcomes
Children from low-income families who enroll in high-quality prekindergarten programs that
serve children from infancy to age 5 may have more positive outcomes later in life than those
who enroll in programs that start serving children at age 3, according to a study by Nobel Prize
winner James Heckman. Data show zero-to-five programs yield such benefits as better highschool
graduation rates - https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/a-nobel-prize-winner-
